Just a quick quote from The Dec94/Jan95 issue of "computer artist" magazine..... on computers and creativity: "Schools are cranking out people who think they're designers because they know how to use the machine really well..." "We don't have a technology problem in this business, we have a talent problem." "A major technological shift in any art gives rise to, and for a time, excuses, a vast amount of technically capable but lifeless and derivative work. For an example in another field, go back and listen to some of the electronic music produced in the late 1960s, when the Moog Synthesizer first became widely available." My wife recently received a course catalog from the Maryland Institute College of Art, one of her alma maters.....it was so full of every computer graphics gimmick available that it was unreadable.... The folks producing these magazines need to hear this stuff and take it to heart...... now back to diving.. I ask me if this mask is going to work also at night. I can light my computer and see the numbers in the screen, but I don't want to iluminate my mask at night to see the depth ! I also want to know more about this display mask. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- -- Roberto Garrote Bernal | Hewlett-Packard PSO Spain, S.A. | Inet: tito@hp*.sp*.hp*.co* Ctra.
