Yep we use it underwater, but don't get your money out yet, the ariel is
attached to a SMB ( surface marker Bouy ) and hence is out of the water..

sorry to decieve you or give you false hopes...

So, I guess there are no truly underwater GPS units available at this 
point....is that because the water degrades the signal?  I intend to buy a 
gps unit for sailing, if there is one that will serve both above and below 
water, that seems the one to buy..
