Would you be so kind as to provide an example of one of these "less risky" ways
to deco?  While you're at it, if you haven't already read it, search for a
document entitled "A Baker's Dozen Reasons 
Why We Do Not Use 80/20".  This actually contains a few reasons why we choose
to use oxygen.  Perhaps you can refute them?

I am really reluctant to jump in after reading this list for over a year, but
since I can't get anyone to respond directly, here goes. Why are we doing
something, that 
has been identified over a decade ago as I'll advised i.e. breathing 100% 02 in
the open ocean, and particularly not using a full face mask ? DIR or not, there
are 
other less risky ways to deco. No flames, just respond if you are inclined.
