--part1_65.16b6ceb9.2874d970_boundary Content-Type: text/plain; charset="US-ASCII" Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit Ed, I sincerely hope that you are not an instructor. Your apparent lack of diving experience and your attitude toward safety and standardization would be a terrible thing to pass on to unsuspecting students. I've been diving for 36 years, most of this time as an instructor, (YMCA, PADI, NAUI, NACD, NASDS, CMAS, and IANTD) and to me, DIR is the best system for staying alive that I have seen associated with diving or dive training. I don't always agree with George (Trey) on something's, but I find it difficult to argue with success. DIR is the most successful system that has evolved in the diving world at this time. If you ever plan to get into advanced or technical diving, I would suggest that you try DIR for a while and get familiar with it. From your post it is obvious that you haven't spent any time or effort using DIR.
