Ed, not intended as a flame but it seems from the past 2 questions about
around the neck strangulation and surgical tube ditching make me think that
you probably listened to someone who didn't know the first thing about DIR
and you didn't check it out for yourself. I too was not initially at all
DIR, pretty much the opposite. I have to say that the questions you are
asking never even entered into my mind when deciding if DIR rigging was
right or not. It's a really simple set up, that's the point! No fancy
clips to undo on the BC, no excessive lift, no backup BS when not needed, no
snag points, etc. Really wish you had actually looked into the rigging
yourself vs. just listening to someone. Would be really interesting to know
who was the person who "enlightened" you about DIR. If you listen to what
people are telling you here you will quickly realize that the person who
told you all these things about why DIR is wrong didn't know what they were
talking about at all!!!

Art.

Ed,

You're using tubing that is too strong or the wrong attachment or both.

My reg will pop out of the necklace if I give it a good yank and I can break
the tubing easily.
