for the record - I'm diving lake erie all this week, out of westfield, NY. Everyone in my group is diving dry. Everyone else i have seen is also diving dry. Our boat captain says if anyone dives wet the first day, they usually don't come back the second day, even in July and August. Temps are currently almost 60 at the surface, 50-ish at about 70 ft, and drop to low 40's at depth. Let's say you have to spend full retail on a drysuit and use a nice round price of $2K. After 100 dives, you spent $20 per dive. With a little care and maintenence, you'll get a thousand dives or more from the suit.
