Terry, A few weeks ago I went to a dive festival here in south, FL, which ha= d=20 a whole array of dealers and manufactures selling dive equipment. I spoke to= =20 the rep for EE who also distributes Halcyon equipment. I asked about the=20 deployment of the Halcyon sealed lift bag and explained my concern when=20 diving wet, he suggested using a dedicated L.P hose to fill the bag, but wha= t=20 is interesting is that the Halcyon catalog also makes reference to a=20 dedicated L.P hose! I really look forward to new equipment and ideas,=20 unfortunately, you can't get a straight answer form the people who make and=20 distribute dive equipment. I hate to say it but G.I. is the only one with=20 enough tenacity and balls to carry this message, and has brought to light=20 what most of us don't have the time, energy or concern to voice. From my=20 experience I would say 90% of what manufactures sales reps, dive shop=20 monkeys, and marketing people speak is rhetoric, and have no clue as to the=20 function and practical use of the equipment they are selling. IMHO this list= =20 is the only place to get up front in your face info.
