Been around for several years. I have over 30 of them. As do several guys
I dive with. 300' mix is not cheap and these plugs have saved me many
times from losing a lot of gas. They will also prevent damaging the valve
if for some reason it is impacted on the top.

If it is not fully seated it does not seal and it leaks, this would be the
big hint to stop turning the valve on. In order for the plug to fly out it
would have to have a rapid increase in pressure behind it, if you turn on
your tanks like a normal person, and if the plugs leaks if not sealed, then
you are arguing possibilities and it is not worth the effort.

It takes a few slight turns with a universal metric wrench (crescent) and
the plugs comes out easily. It is no big deal and a damn good idea in my,
and many others on here, mind.
