JT, I have been diving a little longer than you have, and the dives I do which were or are record distances take a little more than falling off a boat. Maybe you can tell all of us how many people have been killed by that kind of instant gratification ( start in the hundreds) , and then I will tell you how many have been killed diving to 8 or 10 or 15 or 19,000 feet into a cave: NONE. Nobody is going to run out and go 19,000 feet to copy me and get killed, because to get there they have to go 1000, 5000 etc and learn, not just fall off the boat. And, JT, I did not miss the cave when I went 19 Grand. You keep claiming Berm was a friend of yours and trained your guys. Why don't you treat him that way and stop using him as a weapon? He was not my problem, and is not now. I do not allow solo diving in the WKPP and we all do things the same way in WKPP and GUE. JT, I have never criticized anyone for getting bent in any organization. I believe in immediate treatment for any bends cases and I insist on it in my organization. You criticize me for knowing somebody who thinks they got bent on a recreational ocean dive and went to the chamber as a personal attack on me . Not only is your example in diving a disgrace and nothing better than the well known deep air divers, your attitude about the bends is a disgrace and leads to people hiding these things, and now this attitude about Stevie. Sure Steve made a mistake diving solo, but I can understand why, you guys are bailing on him now, why would he want a buddy like that, he knows what to expect diving solo. You and JJ need to go back to the drawing board, reexamine the plan, your team needs to know what to expect you will say about them in the event of their death. As for Dr. Black, those on this list should pay close attention to when he post and you do, there is too much connection there, maybe I'll email Mr Clark and see what he thinks.
