I have never used a Halcyon reel, but I have used a
dive rite.  I don't think the Dive Rite represents the
pinnacle of reel design.  Personally, I own a Reef
Scuba reel and think its great.  No worries about
tangles or anything cuz you can remove the spool
underwater, with no tools or lost parts.
