Chris

I am the proud owner of three Reef Scuba reels, several Underwater
Connections, and one EE Explorer Reel. I have used the DR Reel. The Reef
Scuba & DR reels, as far a s I can see, as a real pain in the A--. I
have had that feature you describe fall apart underwater. I had seen
them come apart for students when shooting a practice bag. Thanks God it
was not for real. I have thrown all the Reef Scubas in the trash, I
would not even sell them at the flea market.

The Underwater Connections work well but the EE/Halcyon Explorer reel
work great. Great design and easy to use. Bill Ripley had super write
and agree with his points (good & bad). It is the best of the four
different mfrs and styles I have used.

David
