If you are going to use stage bottle dont leave it on the line. Learn from other peoples mistakes. Carry the gas with you. There are always 2 lines on the E. Ward. Do you intend to see the lifeboat for instance? What happens if you run in to a problem around the lifeboat? How does a stage bottle help you if it is tide to the ascent line? You think you can make it to the line? Are you willing to bet? If you have a problem why spend the time swimming at depth towards the stage bottle racking up more deco time and using up more gas. If you have your stage with you, you can be swimming towards your first deco stop with less deco obligation and more gas. I can write you million other reasons not to leave your gas on deck. This is not cave diving! There are no continuous lines on wrecks to go back to your stage bottle. In low visibility Great Lakes wrecks we carry our gas. You are making this more complicated than it should be. It is very good you are planning your dive meticulously but it seams to me you are trying to overcompensate for your in-experience in actual diving. Quarry is not the same as Lake Huron. Almost every year a diver gets hurt on E. Ward. Do yourself a big favor get more in water experience go dive shallower wrecks and practice your skills with a stage bottle or doubles. You cannot gain wreck diving experience in mud pits or quarries. Mostly take classes. You go penetrate E. Ward you are going to make a big mess I guarantee it. Also there is a Great Lakes tech diver list (http://www.techdiver.com) it is mostly great lakes technical wreck diving. You can find local instructors and information on wrecks etc. Cheers Adam Thom Hadfield <thom.hadfield@ho*.co*> wrote: Pretty much correct. However to awnser why I donot use other mixes to deco on. I might. However there will be limited space on the boat with all of the others divers and I will probably not be aboe to get mixes in the general area so I was going to try and keep the same % mix for all of my dives that weekend. with MOD of 140 the entire weekend. --------------------------------- Do You Yahoo!?
