The commercial suppliers around here will not fill a breathing air bottle with
a mixture that will not support life. I do my own fills. Also, our local
dive shop is set up to do argon fills.

Curt,
What I don't understand is how to fill my argon pony from a commercial
source (assuming that the pony has a scuba block, and the argon
supplier has a bank of argon bottles with a CGA 580 connector). Will
a supplier fill a tank with a non standard valve, or will that violate
their CGA standards? Have you found that gas suppliers have the
necessary yolk (or DIN) adapter to put an exotic gas into a scuba pony
tank?
