Erik,
I have used the Dive Rite Wreck1 HID in water as cold as
40F and have had no problems.

Good Luck.

Who on this list has experience using HID's below 50F ambient? On several
occasions I have witnessed difficulty generating a successful strike. This
has happened in cold air as well as in cold water. On all occasions the
batteries were fully charged.

Thanks,
Erik
