Helen, I had this op done 1.5 years ago. The hospital I went to was in Manila, and had done about 10k of eye ops, of which a few were divers. The advice was, don't dive for a month and ensure you rigorously do the post op care. The key is to ensure you get no infections after the op and it heals up well. Then life just goes on as normal. One of the best things i ever did.
