The drawback is the accidental closure of the isolator, as can happen when the valve is bumped. This can cause an accident when the diver, having consumed half his gas and not noticing because the gauge on the other tank still shows plenty of gas, suddenly runs out. At best, this will cause a lot of stress if the diver figures out what happened before drowning and at worst it will (and has) cause the diver's death. Learn from the mistakes of other divers; it's safer. -Mike Rodriguez <mikey@mi*.ne*> http://www.mikey.net/scuba Pn(x) = (1/(2^n)n!)[d/dx]^n(x^2 - 1)^n -- Send mail for the `techdiver' mailing list to `techdiver@aquanaut.com'.
