Scott

Truth might be ugly and most of the times it hurts but still is the truth. As
far as your IDC dont worry been there done that and probably can teach you
few tricks or two about IDC and IE. Quit long time ago. But please answer this
Scott. How many dives does it take to become a PADI instructor? From start to
finish. Once you are an instructor how do you get specialties? Like deep,
wreck, cavern. Let me tell you that part, make up the dives and send in a bs
letter about why you should teach that class and of course send in your cash
TADA!!!! you are a deep specialty instructor. Now you can take people to 130
ft. I have seen instructors teaching cavern diving in Ohio quarry inside of a
sunken semi trailer while PADI CD standing and watching. Instead of ripping his
cert card. It sounds like you still believe in the IDC and IE process and
PADIs ability to educate instructors. And the ultimate questions are? How
many students have you failed because they where not qualified? Later found out
that they went to another instructor and got their certification any way?
Question two. Would you want any PADI OW Instructor teaching your kids how to
dive? My answer would be HELL NO! I would like to hear your honest answer.

Cheers

Adam

Hi Adam,

You sound like the kind of an individual I would fail out of an IDC for
trying to cover up your lack of self confidence.

Don't try to build yourself up by trying to rip others down. It doesn't
work. And of course the cursing adds immeasurably to my respect for you.

Take care and dive safe, Scott

Some weeks it's just not worth the effort to gnaw through the restraints and
scramble up out of the pit.

give
a shit if you are MSDT. It does not impress me. It means shit. Question is do
you have the necessary skills and ability to teach diving? This is where we
have a difference off opinion. I stand against the agencies bull shit to
lower the standards to produce instructors and impressive sounding worthless
titles. Pass these morons regardless of their skills and teaching ability to
gain market share. Typical response from a PADI instrictor I am a PADI
MSDT
Instructor. Un fortunately for you, your MSDT means shit to people who
have
been around diving. Thanks to your moron colleagues and your PADI Agency. I
have been involved with many IEs and IDCs. In the last few
years I have
seen so many morons pass IE regardless of their ability it is sad. Think what
PADI teaches you during IDC. They drill you with these statements By
the end
of this session Promote continuing education for your next
class. You all
did a great job however.. Do these statements ring a bell? It
is a joke.
You can read from your slate during pool, your lectures are written by the CD
and handed for your to read. You get to see all the written exams during IDC.
Every one is passed unless they do something real stupid. If one fails, no
worries they will pass on the second time around. After that, pay and get a
new title. May be they should go back to macho/militaristic training see how
many fat slob moron instructors would pass the test? Wakeup man these dumb
morons are teaching life saving skills. What is scarier now they are going to
teach tech diving. Here is another dumb morons story this guy who barely made
it trough the IE on his second time. (I would not dive with this idiot in the
pool let alone open water) Then he went to Our World Under Water in Chicago
and attended a seminar became an IANTD Nitrox instructor. He had no clue what
Nitrox was. Then he sends $10 or 15 to TDI by mail and become a TDI Nitrox
instructor. No skills, no clue, but impressive resume. There are great
instructors out there cross all training agencies. To me this is the ultimate
insult to all good instructors regardless of agency who worked hard on their
skills and material, care about quality and safety of their students. I think
this subject is beaten few times. My worry is these morons barely have the
ability to teach sport diving now they are teaching tech-diving and killing
more people in the process. Forcing the good government to step in and
regulate diving or gases we use. It all boils down to greed morons and
money!!!
Cheers
