Con - Cannister light that is not easily releasable from the right side is no l= onger ditchable weight. Having a D-ring between the cannister and the end of t= he waist strap will not allow the cannister to slide off quickly. It is much more comfortable and= seems to be cleaner (i.e. less convoluted) in the water. I am curious as to why there is no D ring on the right hip. Presently I have my canister light secured there with an inverted SS buckle, but am considering adding a D ring between the light and the buckle as an attachment point for two wreck reels. I've dove with the reels attached= to the crotch strap D ring but the reels seems to hang down further tha= n when using one of the side waist rings. Also the left side seems overloaded with an argon bottle and stages. Since no DIR set up shows= this I can only assume that it is a BAD IDEA, but I would like to hear the pros (if any) and cons of this idea from those in the group. One reason I could think of why this would be sub optimal is the potential interference with the long hose deployment. Any comments or help would= be greatly appreciated.
