After diving a different harness for a year I recently switched to an EE, DIR rigged SS backplate & harness. It is much more comfortable and seems to be cleaner (i.e. less convoluted) in the water. I am curious as to why there is no D ring on the right hip. Presently I have my canister light secured there with an inverted SS buckle, but am considering adding a D ring between the light and the buckle as an attachment point for two wreck reels. I've dove with the reels attached to the crotch strap D ring but the reels seems to hang down further than when using one of the side waist rings. Also the left side seems overloaded with an argon bottle and stages. Since no DIR set up shows this I can only assume that it is a BAD IDEA, but I would like to hear the pros (if any) and cons of this idea from those in the group. One reason I could think of why this would be sub optimal is the potential interference with the long hose deployment. Any comments or help would be greatly appreciated.
