I can't tell those guy apart either, they all look the same to me - huge , fat , blubbering slobs with that slack jawed drooling look and the gear sprayed everywhere. One of the players there had a van that looked like a serial killer's nest with a rig that resembled the picture on the front page of the New York Times the morning after terrorists bombed #2 World Trade. Rennaker is a particular problem in every regard. The guy is an immense liar, as you pointed out, and he is as incompetent as it is possible for an instructor to be in my opinion. He is well known for his posts to Cavers outlining "when to leave your buddy", including special buddy leaving criteria for "husband and wife teams", his insistence on the concept of "who is the most important diver" , and of course the assbackwrds gear rigging insanity and such pearls of Cavers wisdom as "put the worst breathing regulator on the long hose" and other fine advice to his victims that he calls students. Neither Rennaker nor anyone associated with Rannaker has ever done anything in cave diving other than spread bullshit and try to milk a meager living off of our sport out of his broken down house trailer by the side of the road in Mayo, FL. In addition, this ignoramus has already suffered a huge heart attack, yet continues not only to be a ridiculous specimen of self indulgent fat blubbery, but continues to teach cave diving. This guy could not save a turd out of a fishbowl. All this is a testimony to the state of affairs in this sport - make money off of fucking people and move on to the next sucker. Renaker's most recent contribution to the game is one of his poor former students who just died diving the single easiest cave in Florida. Not only is this cave grated off after 300 feet, it is lit by outside electricity . The poor guy died in his Rennaker Rig with two thirds of his gas. I hear the victim's friends are not too happy with the fat boy or his other instructor, the NACD "training director", another total disgrace to humanity. Speaking of Rennaker, maybe someone can confirm or deny that one of Rennaker's students was just fished out of Vortex Springs, dead. The word is that the deceased apparently had been advised by his friend prior to his demise to go retake his cave training elsewhere, and some of his prior buddies refused to dive with him after his dangerously inadequate in-water performance. I had Trey go to Peacock with me to do some drills I wanted to do in there that day. Instead of putting his fins on while standing on the stairs, and instead of sitting on the steps to put them on, he did a forward roll into the water with his fins in his hand and put them on in the water. I just sat down on the lower step to put mine on, and then rolled in (I am a lot smaller than he is and that was convenient for me). As far as Trey nearly drowning,... that is the STUPIDEST FREAKING THING I HAVE EVER READ ! That is beyond ridiculous!!! You could tie cement bricks to his feet and Trey would not drown. Anytime Rennaker wants to compare his athletic (baaaahhaaaaaahaaaa !!! -- let me wipe the water off my screen) or inwater ability to George Irvine's, let him by all means go ahead, I'm sure we could all use a laugh ! I had already heard this nonsense from someone - except I got the better version - where the fat slob claimed to give Trey his regulator to 'save his life' !!!
