Mike, this is beyond the pale . I have heard of the travel mix stupidity but never seen it in person. That is what that idiot Jason Richards did to Stone at Wakulla - breathed his oxygen to "travel" into the basin, toxed and had to be revived by Annette Long _ I would have stayed dead after that . Stone , being a persona non aqua himself, then came up with a rule where he lowered oxygen bottles on a rope to 20 feet from his barge to keep the dumb fucks from breathing them . Too funny. -----Original Message----- From: Mike Rodriguez [mailto:mikey@ma*.co*] Sent: Saturday, October 21, 2000 9:05 AM To: Trey Cc: Manos Manoli; Paul Braunbehrens; techdiver@aquanaut.com Subject: RE: Pony's and deep air At 09:35 AM 10/20/2000 -0400, Trey wrote: >Apparently he jumped into the water with the pony tank >regulator in his mouth. I see two big problems with this. First, there are very few dives deep enough to really need a travel mix and second, when people get task-loaded, they forget to switch regulators. Ever put something on the stove then get a phone call only to realize you burned your food a few minutes later? The same thing happens underwater where the consequences of forgetting to switch regulators are a lot worse then burnt food. -Mike Rodriguez <mikey@mi*.ne*> http://www.mikey.net/aue Pn(x) = (1/(2^n)n!)[d/dx]^n(x^2 - 1)^n -- Send mail for the `techdiver' mailing list to `techdiver@aquanaut.com'.
