Wendell, what I would like to hear from "doc" Black is what steroid he thinks would either help me cave dive better or represent some competitive advantage over others in diving , in which case I will get it and use it . However, I seriously doubt that there is such a thing, and I suspect that using roids would just run up my heart rate and make gas consumption go to hell. I think the "doc" must have seen that article about his boy Batman where the Bat got bent and his girlfriend or dominatrix or whatever that fat bitch he drags around with him is had to give him "steroids". Even I, with my lack of "medical knowledge" , know that this meant corticosteroids, as in anti-inflammatories, not anabolic steroids. I in fact do use "roids" by that definition - "Nasacort" , which is awesome for allergies and has zero side effects , but I do not even use that when I dive , but when I am going to be in air conditioning or over a rug or carpet. And yes, if I do make an error, I want to know about it , and if I have something wrong, I really want to know about it. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Wendell Grogan" <wgrogan@dc*.ne*> To: "Trey" <trey@ne*.co*> Cc: <techdiver@aquanaut.com>; "Hungry Hill" <hungryh@nc*.ne*> Sent: Saturday, October 14, 2000 8:35 PM Subject: Re: Clarification cycle cell typo > Since you're about my age, I would expect that, had you been using 'roids since > college, you would have the following: > 1) Liver failure > 2) Liver cancer > 3) Sleep Apnea > 4) Cor pulmonale (right side heart failure) > > Since this is obviously the case, you should be aware of the fact that you can > no longer walk up stairs, stay awake longer than 1 hour at a time, or eat more > than a small meal without vomiting. > What, you say you can still do major dives!?! > I guess that means either you or Dr. B are wrong! > Wendell G > > Trey wrote: > > > WG, the difference is when they don't want the information out there.
