Dave,

What is your normal dive profile? When I did just one dive I was fine. If
I do a deco dive of say 110-130 foot on air for 45 minutes (O2 deco) the
deco of the first dive would be a little longer than you would expect but if
you don't have a good set of tables you wouldn't know the difference. My
biggest problem was on the repetitive dive. When I would do back to back 45
minute profiles in the 110-130 range and deco on O2 with 2-hour surface
interval my second deco schedule would be really long (like hours) with
stops starting at 90 foot!

Just curious what kinds of dives you are doing. Glad you had a better
experience.

Art.

I own a Cochran Nemesis IIa Nitrox computer (hoseless) and have
logged
somewhere in the neighborhood of 350 dives on it in the last 3
years,
without a single failure or problem. My dive partner used a Nemesis
IIa
Nitrox for several years as well with a several hundred dives with
no
failure as well. In the last 5 or 6 months I have switched over to
a
Commander Nitrox (non-air integrated) simply to do away with the air
integration, I have logged another 80-100 dives on this computer
with no
failure. Neither computer has given me any problems, and I
recommend them,
with one exception. The data probe used for programming the mixes
into the
Nemesis computers is just about the most annoying piece of sh!t
product I
have ever used (another reason I switched over to the Commander
computer).
Other than the frustration of having to clean the contacts time and
time
again on the data probe for the Nemesis computers, I believe my
computers
have worked quite well, perhaps I just got lucky. Either way, I
felt the
need to share my experiences with these products. I do not have any
experience with Cochran's customer service or representatives since
I have
had no reason to contact them.
