If you don't have ditcheable weight, fine, I don't care, I don't want to argue about that. However, if you feel that you need to have ditcheable weight, then making it the single most expensive piece of equipment you own is not a great idea. The time when you need to ditch is not the time to pussyfoot around because you think you might be able to make it. I think you'll do a lot more of that, if your ditcheable weight is an $800 HID light, then if it's a $20 weight belt. Anyway, that's just how I feel about it, I know that it's DIR to do it this way, and saying anything against DIR is likely to get you roasted to a crisp, but this has been bothering me for some time now, so I thought it was worth mentioning.
