Brian-

This is a tech list and the use of computers in technical diving is limited.
I myself own a Nitek3 unit. It enables the use of 3 nitrox mixes, and this
seemed to be a pretty good idea at the time that I bought it. But now it is
pretty much in permanent gauge mode (thank goodness it has this option) and
I use it to record the dive for my log.

I use Deco Planner (www.gue.com) to plan my dives. As a new diver I
recommend that you go to rec.scuba list to ask questions about a computer
for recreational diving. In the meantime enjoy the give and take on Tech
diver and reference my web site and Kevin Connell's techdiver archives. Just
do a search for "stroke" and you will find out all you need to know.
