Subject: Re: Lost deco gas - stops adjustments

You use what you have and do almost the same
schedule, do not lengthen the intermediate stops or
you will get bent.

Joseph, deco is bullshit they way it is taught and
perceived by most people. It is a combination of
things - just not having the right gas does not mean
doing more time, it may even mean doing less time.
The results may be different, but not consequential.

You need to forget everything you ever learned and
start over in order to understand anything that I
say about this. You also need to lose the bullshit
fear - if you were to get bent, it is no big deal it
is bullshit. A CNS hit is a bad thing, but that is
not from bad deco, that is from preconditions. Some
people with preconditions can dive , but they need
the exact gas and they are taking an unnecessary
risk by diving so I will not even acknowledge them
in any discussion .

I have done these dives with no deco gas and no
lengthening of the schedule. It is so simple, but
everyone makes it so hard an mysterious.
