They did not advertise it much. I found out by complete accident during a
conversation. That might explain the lack of crowds and/or traffic. Most of
the people I talked to there also found out by accident and most of them
were tourists from New Jersey, California, Delaware, etc.. who just happened
to be in Charleston on vacation.

I'm picking up the pictures tonight and reconnecting the scanner in the
morning. If it works (there is some doubt) the scans should be up on Sunday.
If that scanner gives me problems, I'll have the film scanned on Monday at
my old office. Whenever they are in, I'll send the link to this list.

If anybody knows the technical details of the salvage process, it would be
great to get a description. I'm very curious about what the process was for
the commercial divers who were involved.

I was there on Monday and missed out on the spectacle. If I knew they
were bringing it up, I would have stayed for a day or so. I really
miss the ol city, If you scan the pics, please toss us the URL for the
web site.
