Nice answer, The list is somewhat casual in "it's" approach. But that adds a little fun as well. I have been on the list for some time, the "heatedness" comes and goes. (english is my first language) I am here in Darwin working through the DIR thing by myself. From a 'tech' point of view, I think you can approach a lot of diving situations that way. Although I am qualified cave / trimix, in reality, a good deal of the diving I do is in the 20 to 30m range. Hence, good nitrox depth. I blend the appropriate mix, and keep an eye on CNS. Dive manifolded twins. Instead of doing a repetitive dive and sitting on the boat, we offten just stay down and do a big one and deal with the deco. As I said this is in the 20 to 30 m range. We come back on the boat after say 70 or 90 minutes poking around a wreck, and it raises a few eyebrows from the air divers who were out of the water after 20 minutes, and waiting for a repetitive dive. I am mid 40's and feel pretty good after my dives. A tech and DIR approach has helped me, to enjoy all my dives better. I personally do not know any more where 'open water' ends and 'tech' begins.
