Karl,

I still think that 8 deaths in 3 years by a single RB where the divers were
not being shot at (like MK-15, LAR-V, etc.) is still the highest. Do we have
any number of deaths in the first 3 years for the Dolphin, BioMarines,
Cis-Lunar, Prism or Halcyon ? I would bet that it is a lot lower or none
existed.

I still can't believe that you think 8 deaths in 3 years is acceptable based
on any reason. I didn't think there is an acceptable ratio of number of
deaths versus number of dives being done.

You might be right about the quality of training that has something to do
with it as well. But that's also involving the manufacturer since they
approve of which agency allow to train the divers. Is it only IANTD allowed
to train divers on the Inspiration ?

How many deaths involved the Pinto (blown up when hit from behind) before it
was recalled instead of blaming the driving instructors ?

The first death was a few years back, nothing was done. More people died,
and now the blame is on bad luck ?

Anyway, I am not going to ask any more. You guys are not going to do
anything, but just blaming the divers on age/attitude/drysuit/luck. We'll
see how that hold up in court.

-Phi

Phi,
look what is dived !

A rebreather that has a sales rate close to zero
and of wich the sold units are mostly 'used'
as dust catchers can easy have a low total number of accidents.
The safest rebreather is the one with the lowest bodycount
per dive, NOT simply the one with the lowest total number of fatalities.
So: what dive counts were reached by other rebreathers
in thier first 3 years ?

When You ask me about the quality of training I have to
send you back to those agencies where the dead received
thier training. I'm only willing to speak with but not about agencies.
