Christian,

In defense of whom-ever posted this response, Ibuprofen is a simple
over-the-counter anti-inflammatory/pain reliever. It has never been
contraindicated for diving as far as I know. It is similar to taking
aspirin.

It sounds like the writer has had a past history of "stress" induced
headaches, which are brought on by muscle tension in the upper back and neck
areas. Often caused by sitting for hours at a computer terminal without a
break, or bicycling long distances while on the "drops". I get these after
triathlons where I'm hunched over the stupid aero-bars for the entire bike
section of the race.

Cut him some slack. I think you misinterpreted his or her post...
