The problem with bisulphate is that it can leave a powdery residue behind if
you don't rinse very throughly.
As George pointed out, urine is sterile (I remember stories of arab warriors
sterilizing wounds with it).
What you need to do is get out the stink and the crud- salt, urine crystals,
etc.  Hence the reccomendation for vinegar (white vinegar is supposed to be
best).  I haven't tried bisulphite for cleaning out wings but it sounds like
it would probably work.
