I agree about the powdery residue issue but in general the solution need be
only fairly weak rather than saturated so that residue from evaporation will
be minimal, also, being easily dissolved the residue should go back into
solution as soon as you use the catheter again. There are drawbacks to many
things. As for urine being sterile and an antiseptic, it is true up to a
point (no pun intended) however, it is also a rich source of nutrients so
that bacteria grow in urine from outside contamination very quickly. The
ideal ecologically sound solution would be to urinate through the catheter
then within an hour or so rinse with fresh water, no extra contaminants into
the environment in that case.

It just dawned on me that this is a group of adults delighting in talking
about having a pee..........makes a change from football I suppose.
