Trey,

Let me jump in here a minute.. This is why I hate posting to this list
sometimes. Rather than read my trip report and hopefully learn something
assholes like Manos need to poke holes and ignore the 900+ things that work
and that allow you to do the type of diving you do and focus on the fact
that I, as an admitted 1st timer to the WKPP team, fucked up and wore a
wetsuit in 78 degree water while diving to 20'..

Jesus what an asshole..

Sorry Trey for getting you involved in this nonsense. But if they had read
my report they would have noticed that I didn't even think that I was going
to get into the water and rather than pack my DUI 200 and lug it 3000 miles
for a dive I didn't think I was going to make I figured I'd travel light..

Next time down I will bring my drysuit, but I thought the 200 was overkill
since I tend to overheat and my TLS 350 has not arrived yet..

As for the fact that I can, or have dove in 37 degree water with only a T
shirt and shorts I thought it was obvious that this is NOT DIR. I did this
prior to me converting to DIR and as far as I know no one in the DIR, WKPP
or GUE camp advocates this practice. How I'm able to do it is beyond me but
the fact of the matter is that I can. I have a very high tolerance for cold
water and overheat way too easily so I try to compensate. I do NOT
recommend that anyone follows my practices in this regard.

Regards
