----- Original Message ----- From: Manos Manoli <manos@ma*.co*.cy*> MHK , With the same logic i can dive with my swimming goggles ( i always keep a pair in my boat ) in case i forget my mask home. Nonsense, It seams that you didn't understand what's going on here ! I understand perfectly, It's you that doesn't have a clue You didn't get it that everyone hanging in this list is watching so close how this people do it. You know why ? So these cyber diver's can poke holes at a system that works, so that they can point finger's and talk that personal preference crap. So let me make this plain and simple and then I'm done with you and this thread.. I tried to post my observations as a 1st timer at Wakulla. I thought that other's could benefit from my experiences. I thought that perhaps if someone other than George posted something from a fresh perspective that rather than beat something into the ground other's could visualize the extreme magnitude of the project. As I said to call it impressive is an understatement.. To be fair to Goerge and JJ, they do mandate that all diver's dive DIR and they did tell me that ahead of time. SInce George, Bill Mee and Dan Volker were primarily responsible for helping me convert to DIR and since I had dove with George several times prior to my Wakulla weekend and since I arranged a DIR demo in SoCal with George, JJ , Ted Cole and Dan Volker, George had little reason to doubt that I would be diving DIR on this project, to the extent that I had an opportunity to dive on my 1st weekend. Most diver's don't generally dive during there inagural weekend, they observe. Accordingly, George and JJ took my word at face value that I would comply with there mandate. I got into the water about 10 hours after George and JJ and only for a few minutes.. Sadly the focus has shifted from the impressive WKPP set up to my fuck up. I wish other's would spend as much time disecting there own diving as they do looking for mistakes made by the WKPP.. If they did there would certainly be less bodies.. So for the last and final time I will address this issue. I apologoze to George and JJ and the rest of the WKPP team for MY mistake. When you get right down to it, a dive of this magnitude goes off without a hitch, a team of about 80 diver's comes together, and the only thing you can focus on is that a first time support diver wore a wetsuit in 75+ degree water while diving to 20'. I am too assume based upon the foregoing that you therefore acknowledge that EVERY other aspect of the entire team effort you are in agreement with?? Do you think you could have put together such an impressive coalition with similar results??? If you spent half as much time focusing on the positives as you do looking for problems you might actually learn something.. So I mentioned in my trip report Chris Elmore was kind enough to take me under his wing.. During the day he asked me how it was I came to join the WKPP effort and I told him of my experiences arguing with George on the net and then told Chris that I finally realized that I could learn more by listening to George et.al rather than arguing with him. You should follow that advise. Later -- Send mail for the `techdiver' mailing list to `techdiver@aquanaut.com'. Send subscribe/unsubscribe requests to `techdiver-request@aquanaut.com'.
