Hi Kent, Sounds about right for the stupid PADI stuff. We have a NAUI shop, locally, whose owner who told me 5 years ago that "nobody needs to go deeper than 60fsw ." The irony is that since he expanded his shop, and is looking for other revenue, he is now mysteriously offering Trimix courses. This from a guy that, as far as I can tell, never does a deep dive outside of a class. I have also heard that he does "simulated" "deep dives" for his advanced open water students, because there is "to much liability" going to 100fsw. That's not really why I responded though. I am interested in the wrecks that you described. I am interested in planning a trip to your area. I dive with a small group of divers that like going deep in Carmel, CA. So far my focus has been diving with a digital video to capture images of the marine life at 175-200fsw. All of my regular buddies are now Trimix divers. Most of us have the Halcyon rigs. Any information would be appreciated. Regards, Dave -- Send mail for the `techdiver' mailing list to `techdiver@aquanaut.com'. Send subscribe/unsubscribe requests to `techdiver-request@aquanaut.com'.
