After I'd bee mixing for a year or two, I noticed someone was giving a not-too-expensive mix course just up the road from me, so I took it, mostly just to see if I was doing anything seriously wrong. Just for the heck of it I took my copy of the Oxy Hacker along. During the class (I was the only non-dive shop person there) the instructor was telling us how rule number one was to do all mixing after hours, and never when a customer was watching. Why do you think that is, he asked? The students made various guesses - so you can concentrate, so no one else will get blown up, insurance regs, etc. "SO THE CUSTOMER WON'T SEE HOW EASY IT IS!" the instructor bellowed, snatching the Oxy Hacker from my desk and waving it in the air. IF HE DOES, HE'LL JUST BUY A COPY OF SOME BOOK OVER THE NET, AND HE WON"T NEED YOU ANYMORE."
