I had a DCS hit back in May and was treated at St. Agnus Hospital in the Bronx. At the time, I spent considerable effort to fill out the DAN forms as completely and accurately as possible. About four weeks ago, I received a follow up call from someone at DAN to collect information on residual symptoms. To my amazement, significant pieces of information from my report were either lost or mutated. They had my dive profile wrong, they lost the informaion on the type of computer I was using, they lost the information on when and for how long I breathed O2 after the accident. Basically, they didn't get much right besides my phone number and that I got hit in May off Long Island. I did set them straight. A friend of mine also had a similar experience. I'm wondering if anyone else has any comments on the quality of DAN's data. If my experience is typical and DAN's data is used extensively for research, as divers, we are in trouble. Philip Weissman
