So what is the preferred marker strobe these days?

I'm looking for a decent reliable strobe that I can rig DIR style on my
harness to use occasionally for marking anchor lines, but more importantly
for rescue purposes. It gets dark up here FAST in winter.

Every strobe I've tried has turned out to be a piece or shit. Or, maybe I'm
just hard on gear. I have a box of junk gear in the garage and nothing
works. I've tried....

Tektite 200; dead, flooded after 5 dives
Princeton Tech; dead, flooded
something called a Firefly; dead (smashed)

In fact, the only strobe I've ever bought that is still working is some
little Chinese-made Xenon strobe with a rotating switch in the end. It's
probably only still alive because it doesn't get wet. It stays in my
backcountry ski kit.

So what are you guys using? I've heard the Joltron strobes from Norway are
reliable but no one seems to sell them in the US. The Tektite strobes
"look" like they should be decent, but danged if I can make one last more
than 5 dives. Is it just me?
