Paul Scubapro came out with a "nitrox" reg 2 years ago The male din was on the tank valve The female din was on the reg The idea was that in a similar way to the 232 bar din is different to 300 bar works ie you cant fit a 232 bar din to a 300 bar din tank because there arnt enough threads on the reg to bottom out and seal in the tank valve. I suppose Scubapro brought this out to differentiate between air and nitrox systems ie a non nitrox reg cannot fit a air tank. 1)It never took off! 2)There is today *no* legislation in the UK with respect to this special nitrrox valve system 3)Ive seeen one in a shop 2 years ago - to my knowledge its still there unsold. 4)Ive never seen anyone use one David J.
