Thanks for the comments. I would like you all to consider a few points that
are not obvious.

The correct bolt to use in the tank band set is a 5/16 hex head cap bolt
4-3/4 to 5 inches long. File the edge smooth after tightening.

The square hole in the Halcyon plate was designed to accommodate a cap bolt
facing away from the back to allow easier access of inflatable devices
stored in the back plate cover pocket for self rescue purposes when diving
offshore.

The latest single tank adaptors are "hard coat" anodized to mil spec which
affords a much greater resistance to salt water induced corrosion by
providing a .005 " ceramic looking barrier. We actually demonstrate the
durability and scratch resistance of this new process by borrowing the keys
of the potential customer and attempt to gouge the surface. Then we invite
the customer to try as well. The result is a residual track of brass on the
surface that wipes away when brushed with the hand.

The profile of the single tank adaptor in discussion seems like a major
issue but in reality is very minimal and necessary for certain other
superior advantages offered by the extra 1/2 inch. The primary reason for
originally choosing this U-channel design was to be able to utilize my 70' &
120' MOD stage bottles rigged without removing the hardware. The stage
straps fit nicely inside the channel and the 1-inch bolt snaps are hidden
out of snag range. Secondly, the extra 1/2 inch allowed the reversed cap
bolt fastener to be wing nut secured inside the channel, allowing the DLR
(Divers Life Raft) and other closed circuit lift devices easy removal from
the back plate cover pocket. Balance and clearance do not appear to be
compromised in any detectable portion in comparison to the added benefits
many recent offshore overnighters would have enjoyed while floating safely
in a 300 pound, six foot Navy type life raft.

I felt it was important to explain why we have such a "STA" and trust me,
when I say we are constantly working on improvements.

Thanks for all the input.
