Hi Ben, You can disassemble your bp and single tank adapter every time if you don't mind, however it is not really necessary in my personal opinion. Yes, you will have dissimilar metal action going on and it looks kind of ugly when you take the stuff apart after some time but it is not something to be worried about at all. The structure will not weaken to a point that it will result in a failure, we are mainly concerned about this from a cosmetically point of view. I have used a set for single tank diving for over a year very intensively. We are talking 2-3 dives a day single tank and 1-2 times a week changing it for double tank diving. Once it even got to the point that I had to use a hammer to get the bolts out of the single tank adapter but it still did not result in structural damage to the single tank adapter. BTW, I would not recommend drilling larger holes in your bp, instead get tank bands that fit. Just my personal experience, hope it helps. If you buy Highland Millworks bands they come with 3/8" bolts which means you'll have to drill out the stainless steel back plate that Halcyon makes. If you have a stainless steel backplate and are using their aluminum single tank adaptor you'll have to completely disassemble it after each ocean dive or face serious electrolisis. -ben --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: quest-unsubscribe@gu*.co* For additional commands, e-mail: quest-help@gu*.co* -- Send mail for the `techdiver' mailing list to `techdiver@aquanaut.com'.
