The rig weighs Backplate 3 kgs V-weight 3-5 kgs (depending on tank size) Pro14 light 4 kg negative Gas weight 5-8 kg (depending on tank size) Tanks: 1-3 kg? (European steel) Total (max): 24 kg negative .... but I still the Explorer65 (when diving twin 15L) has to be completely full for the rig not to sink. I _always_ clip my rig to the boat when coming up from a dive while getting out of it for this reason. I wear 3 kgs on a weight belt and 400g insulation. My whole query is that the rig has only negative things on it (except the wings) whereas you, in your suit, is very positive (when using V-weights, etc). Is this the preferred way (I would hate to wear more lead on a weight belt!)? -- Send mail for the `techdiver' mailing list to `techdiver@aquanaut.com'.
