Having serviced Poseidons (Cyclons and Odins) since 1978 and being the defacto New Zealand agent for the last 10 years, I have been aware of the second stage flutter following service. Sure it's associated with the silicon sleeve but I doubt if it can be linked with a change in manufacturer as it has always been an occuring fault. Two sleeves from the same packet (batch) can perform differently. 99% of the sleeves are fine. They have changed the part tho. Initially, on the Maximum (Odin/Jetstream), it was called the sleeve and sleeve holder. Now it is just the valve insert. I have a thousand of the seperate sleeves, some of which may flutter! We also use the winterised Odins in Antarctica. Salt water temp = -1.8 C. Occaisionally you get small flakes of ice flying to the back of the throat, but you get used to it and eventually think nothing of it.
