Tom, we just needed to clear up your misrepresentation that JJ and I
differ on ANY points of diving. JJ took care of that. JJ is in the
business, I am not. He is nice, I have no time for it.

Otherwise, I find it absolutely amazing that you can on the one hand
know that I started cave diving in 1990, and you signed my cave card in
1991, which I threw in the trash, by the way, after Parker gave it to me
on the way to an exploration dive, and yet be too blind to see what can
be done by DOING IT RIGHT. I am not gas certifed either Tom, so I guess
that means I don't do that too well, huh? Neither is Bill Gavin , by the
way, and he designed the MK 19 mixed gas rebreather. Maybe he and I
could sign up together and get a deal from one of your IANTD "gas"
"instructors" like the late Andre Smith or maybe Derek Mc Nulty, or
maybe the one who lost the guy up in Goober Sink ? How about a nice deal
for me and Bill, Tom, a little "professional discount"?

One thing I really hated about the "community" was its attitude that
they were the big "experts" since they had been doing it for years.
Tom, I blew these guys away, and so did JJ. By the way, JJ was 20 years
old when I started diving with him, and that is because other than Gavin
, nobody else out there in the big time experienced cave diver field was
worth a damn. Fact. You may also want to give yourself a reality check
here and ask yourself why the best cave diver in the game, Bill Gavin,
with 18 years cave diving experience who had the end of the line
everywhere they let him dive passed by all of those big time cave divers
and took me, the new guy , as his dive partner. Why the hell is that ,
Tom? Can you explain that? Can you swallow that false pride long enough
to figure that one out? Tom, it is pretty obvious now what he saw that
you will never admit.

Gavin logged 150 cave dives between the time Parker died and the time he
quit diving. Four of those dives were NOT with me. One was with Exley at
Chips, two with Bill Main ( one at Chips and one at Ginnie), and one was
the Sherwood dive.

I am always willing to tell you or anyone else what the differences in
the systems are , and why, but am not about to listen to how a stuffed
hose or bondage wings or any other patently absurd idea is "safe". I
also see no need to be polite about it. Better if you tell me why it
makes any sense relative to my way, and skip the safe part and skip any
reference to how long any stroke has been doing it wrong, just the
logic. What pisses you off is that there is no such logic.

You need to also skip the bullshit when it comes to me - I am what I am,
and that is way good enough to say what I say , and the fact is my
thinking stands on its own, as does my track record.

All from doing thigs properly, DIR , if you will, even though you hate
to admit it.
