Black, You didn't understand it on rec.scuba, and you still don't understand it here. The conversation was begun by a person wondering about how safe the "wait to fly" times were, and I explained the safety was very much a function of the individual's physiology, as 25% of divers have a PFO, and a large majority of divers seem to have very poor perfusion and generally poor fitness/high levels of body fat---ie.,e some people should wait longer than "wait to fly times" indicate. I mentioned George was on the complete other side of this equation, due to his high level of physical training....and that divers need to figure out where in the spectrum they fall in, and then attempt to err on the side of being conservative ( in their wait to fly times, based on their fitness level). Black, you managed to become a laughing stock on rec.scuba, and its been known for many months on the tek list....maybe its time for you to be a big shot on the Rodale's discussion group..... Looks like Haldane was all wrong too. BTW Scott, I hope for your sake you are in excellent shape. Nice going Dan, you just put one more bullet in my gun if I choose to shoot the hypocrite again. BTW I am keeping a list of all your "safe" practices.
