Just wondering if anybody's ever tried retrofitting a steel 72 that has the 
1/2" taper threads to the threads normally used on manifold and other 
non-antiquated equipment?  Just an idea I had out of no where, any ideas?

On a related note, what exactly is the normal thread size?  I know it's 
3/4", but what's the thread count?
