Here is the link to the Imitation spring heel straps

I have made these and use them. They do work but there is no substitute
for the real Oceanic straps. Last weekend I saw the real version
on George's fins and not only is the connection to the fin is cleaner
(hydrodynamic)
but the rubber insulation for the heel is very nice. 

Another source is Jackie Smith <mixdiver@In*.Ne*> but I hear that 
the deliveries are slow in coming. Jackie, are you still out there and can
comment?
