Rick,

I use weight pockets when I don't use a light (cannister). The negative
buoyancy
of the light gets rid of the need for weight (drysuit diving). I went to
integrated
weights to get the weight off of my back for long dives. the pocket on the
left is
next to the backplate (out of the way of the D-Ring) and the pocket on the
right
is where the cannister would be. Easy to change out. I never use weights
when
stages or lights are involved (un-needed convolution)

The other place I use a weight pocket is
when on travel and doing single tank diving. I need the weight on the left
side
to counteract the light cannister for night dives.

Before you add on weight pocket though, try a V-weight. A V-weight is a much
cleaner solution than
weight pockets for the doubles and a P-Weight a better solution for the
single diving.

Do you use your light during single tank dives?

The weight pockets I use are of my own manufacture (before Halcyon
introduced theirs)
halcyon has some weight pockets that fit on the harness and the right side
one has
a release for the light cannister but if one is adding that much weight (in
addition to the
cannister) then I would question how the rest of the rig is put together.

Steve
