Rob, Condom catheters work just fine, provided that one uses the correct size. Trying to use a large one when one is not causes lots of leaks that the glue cannot overcome and conversly using one that is too small is I think much worse as it hurts. It does not take much pressure to cause a heck of alot of pain right on the end (.1-.2 ata). The adhesive sometimes works a little too well....... One other thing, if you do not get the overboard discharge that is equalizing you should put a little water in the tube (open the discharge valve) once you are in the water or you will find out at depth how little pressure can cause pain (gives a whole new meaning to suit squeeze<g>) Steve > -----Original Message----- > From: Rob Sluys [mailto:rsluys@nm*.ed*] > Sent: Wednesday, January 26, 2000 7:03 PM > To: techdiver@aquanaut.com > Subject: Catheters was: stadiumpal > > > List, > Just out of curiosity, how well do the condom catheters work? > I've heard > that they slip off at the earliest opportunity and also that > they stick > like nobody's business... > > So which is it? super-glue or super-wet? > > Thanks, > > ~Rob Sluys > > rsluys@nm*.ed* > > "If the horse is dead, dismount" > > > -- > Send mail for the `techdiver' mailing list to > `techdiver@aquanaut.com'. > Send subscribe/unsubscribe requests to > `techdiver-request@aquanaut.com'. > -- Send mail for the `techdiver' mailing list to `techdiver@aquanaut.com'.
