David, You came onto this list asking people's views and comments on various issues. After getting them you decided to heck with that and told us what you were going to use. After a few polite replies on why you shouldn't do that followed by attacking DIR and calling us, amongst other things, sheep, you then received a few, shall we say less polite replies. At that point you told us that you were leaving the list and you only wanted to learn about deco. Firstly, why didn't you ask about deco if that's why you joined the list? Secondly, I'm sure Helen explained to you why some of what you choose was not such a good idea before you even joined the list, so why did you ask our opinions if you'd already made up your mind? Thirdly, if I remember correctly, you only learned to dive 12-18 months ago and I assume that you're doing relatively easy diving - nothing more than 20-30m. What makes you believe that you know more than the vastly more experienced people here? Fourthly, it appears that you have just selected some pieces of equipment because you like them or some other reason but have given no consideration about how they might function (or more likely not function) as a system. If you can come up with an informative reply, please post it to the list. If you're just going to sulk and call me a sheep, then please respond privately as I'm sure a lot of people have gotton tired of you.
